The Studio & GardenMy studio is in the daylight basement of the house I share with my husband and our cat. With my extra high work table pushed up against the window, I look out into a stand of Douglas Firs, rhododendrons, pines, irises, flowering trees and shrubs. There are also several types of bird feeders and bird baths that attract a variety of birds and different types of squirrels (including the flying kind). A graphics table that I use for painting is up against the opposite wall. A book shelf, a flat file, a tattered chair, an easel, and my rat, complete the scene. For my Gocco work, I use the guest bedroom -- rarely occupied by guests and has a small desk just the right height and plenty of space to dry the completed prints. To make an apppointment for a studio visit on Sundays or Mondays, please contact me via email at . To see samples of my work, please go to the Portfolio pages; my bio and resume are available in the Bio & Resume page. The Virtual Garden TourSpring has arrived early in 2005, at least for those of us in western Oregon...below are a few pictures to share. |
Woodland Garden | |
This is the garden right outside of my studio window. My flowering trees and shrubs don't bloom as profusely as they might if they had full sun, but I prefer the woodland setting and am happy to trade the blossoms for it. My Rattus in Residence, aka the studio rat, Kiki died in mid February, and she's buried in the woodland garden, marked by the stack of rocks. |
